A Brief Synopsis...

David V. Cooper, IV (aka Koop or D-Koop) has always been surrounded by music. Born February 14, 1990 to two former musicians/singers, one could say his birth date granted him a love for music. David began to hone his musicianship throughout  his primary schooling, studying classical music as it related to cello and voice through the Abington School District. However, his passion for music was cultivated through singing in children’s, then later youth choir at his home church Bethel Deliverance International Church under the leadership of Bishop Eric A. Lambert, II.

        Saved at a young age, David was actively involved with every aspect of ministry, serving on different children’s boards, tutoring programs, and summer camps. However, the temptations life present caught up with him and he began to feel a disconnect between his self and the Lord.

        David attended Montgomery County Community College for Music Composition and Digital and Audio recording where he stepped into the secular R&B arena, writing for other artists and featuring on several different projects. However, the Lord kept tugging on him to come back to a place of restoration in Him first, then His music second. David rededicated his life to Christ in 2010 and committed himself to only singing for the Lord after realizing through a string of events only things done for Christ last. It was with that in mind that the Lord began to pour in David material for an EP entitled, “The Anticipation” , his debut project. It was released on his website on September 17, 2011 at david-cooper.com. The testimonials and encouragements only serve to keep him humble and mindful of the fact that had it not been for the Lord on his side, he’d be completely lost.

 It is the desire of David to see the music God gives him reach all over the world to provide the world what it is in desperate need of in these evil days…HOPE. Hope that can only be found in the blood of Jesus, the Christ. He prays his music portrays just that. God’s love in Music…PERSONIFIED…
